SAP announces 3Rs Strategies and Cloud will accelerate Thailand’s Post-Pandemic Growth

 SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) earlier this year launched the latest business transformation service, RISE with SAP, to help organizations in Thailand become more resilient during the pandemic. 

According to SAP, digital adoption curves seen since the start of the pandemic were not slowing down, enterprises are bracing themselves with investments in cloud infrastructure and other key technologies that will help them to survive and thrive in the post-pandemic world. “We have seen massive digital transformation in last first year.” said Atul Tuli, Managing Director of SAP Indochina “From our recent survey, majority of organizations in Thailand are looking for ways to become more resilience and enhance the digital and employee experience.”

The current pandemic has proved to be an opportunity for the cloud market, with a surge in cloud adoption globally across diverse industries. According to Gartner, in the aftermath of the Covid-19 crisis, the worldwide spending on public cloud services is expected to reach $332.3 billion in 2021, an increase of 23.1% from 2020. For SAP, cloud business became a third of business globally in 2020 and cloud business in the Asia-Pacific region grew by 18%. In Thailand, the government launched the initiative as part of their push into the digital economy and grow industries of the future including The Thailand 4.0 and a series of measures to accelerate investments to encourage business to adopt digital technologies. 

Moving ahead in 2021, Atul highlights “3Rs” strategies which will help businesses in Thailand overcome the challenges brought on by COVID-19 and become resilience.

  • The Response phase is the process of reacting to the pandemic and understanding how it will affect the business.
  • Recovery is considered an ongoing phase that help company move forward from their new baseline.
  • Company must Reimagine business, resulting in the ability to think and act fast, by developing new business models that break traditional rules. This phase may include experimenting with changes company were already considering before COVID-19, just at a faster pace.

‘RISE with SAP’ is the SAP’s latest ‘Business transformation-as-a-Service’ solution that was recently launched in Thailand and it will help organizations reimagine their businesses and accelerate their move to the cloud as they evolve to become more intelligent enterprises.

“Intelligent technologies represent a major opportunity for business differentiation and resiliency. The biggest challenge for organizations is that how they can connect the technology with the business and how companies win a high market competition when the pandemic is forcing companies to get creative and find new revenue sources.” said Atul. “This is what we are doing with RISE with SAP to help our customers business process transformation to generate more business value from technology investments and with greater process efficiencies.”

From a customer perspective across big and small sizes, the key priority is how to create a quick win and value from the system toward the transformation roadmap. The RISE with SAP provides customers a holistic business transformation. Independent of starting point or complexity, the program will help companies understand business process focusing on business value and decide with confidence for driving outcome.
