Medical Taiwan 2025, organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), officially opened today at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2 and will run through June 7. Under the theme “Innovating Wellness,” the exhibition spotlights the booming health industry across four major sectors: All-age Care, Smart Medical, Medical Supplies Gallery, and Medical Innovation & Startups. This year’s show brings together 316 companies from 14 countries, presenting a wide spectrum of technologies and solutions that are shaping the future of global healthcare.
The show features a comprehensive lineup of themed pavilions and highlight zones—including the Smart Medical Pavilion, Telehealth and AI/ML Medical Device Pavilion, M-novator Startup Zone, AI & Smart Medical Area, Veterinary Supplies & Equipment Zone, Taiwan Patent GO, and Japan Pavilion. These areas collectively showcase the latest global trends and innovation energy in medical technology, from AI-driven diagnostics, precision health solutions, and home-based care, to veterinary healthcare and award-winning patented medical devices.
James C.F. Huang, Chairman of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), emphasized that AI in healthcare is not a distant vision but a reality that is already taking shape. At this year’s COMPUTEX, also organized by TAITRA, several of Taiwan’s leading medical centers showcased their collaborations with global tech giant NVIDIA, demonstrating how AI is being integrated into clinical settings and fundamentally transforming the way healthcare is delivered. He also highlighted the ongoing Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, where a beating heart made from iPS cells symbolizes the boundless possibilities of human health innovation. James C.F. Huang noted that this year’s Medical Taiwan presents a wide range of AI-driven applications, personalized care solutions, and precision diagnostics, making it the ideal platform for fostering cross-border and cross-industry collaboration.
In response to the public’s growing concern for animal wellness, Medical Taiwan has introduced the Veterinary Supplies & Equipment Zone for the first time. This area presents medical and health products designed specifically for pets, expanding the scope of healthcare innovation beyond humans.
Startups from the United States, Belgium, Israel, South Korea, and Taiwan are spotlighted in the M-novator Startup Zone and AI & Smart Medical Area. Their solutions include AI-based image analysis, health screening technologies, personalized rehabilitation tools, and mental health platforms, showcasing a vision of healthcare that is real-time, precise, humanized, and customized.
The Smart Medical Pavilion, organized by the Taiwan Medical and Biotech Industry Association, and the Telehealth and AI/ML Medical Device Pavilion, curated by the Taiwan Federation of Medical Devices Commercial Associations, feature immersive showcases of surgical suites, ICUs, and AI-powered imaging systems. These dynamic displays offer insight into the real-world applications of smart hospitals, precision diagnostics, telemedicine, and home-based care.
Prominent exhibitors such as IEI Integration, Pacific Medical, BenQ TST, Hydro Health, Apex Medical, GTek, Qisda, Medimaging, Anchor BioTech, Genmore, and National Cheng Kung University present a strong picture of Taiwan’s manufacturing excellence and innovation capacity in the global healthcare landscape.
Curated by the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office, the Taiwan Patent GO zone features award-winning patents across the medical, health, and technology fields. Highlights include innovations from Foxconn, Inventec, Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and National Chung Hsing University, such as multifunctional diagnostic devices, comprehensive physiological monitoring systems, Kawasaki disease detection kits, and smart gait training systems.
