The 2 Colours of Sound - Bridging Cultures Through Music

Mr. Nattapong Punthakeirtpaisarn, the Mongolia Honorary Consul of Phuket and Phang-nga, Thailand, and President of the Thai Cultural Council in Mongolia, shared his vision behind the upcoming concert “The 2 Colours of Sound” — a multicultural celebration of friendship and harmony through music.

“The 2 Colours of Sound is a cultural concert that unites the musical spirits of Thailand and Mongolia,” said Mr. Nattapong. “It will be held on December 13, 2025, at the Main Auditorium, Faculty of Engineering, KMITL, and aims to express harmony between two distinct cultures through the universal language of music.”

He explained that the concert’s name represents the blending of two musical identities — two nations, two traditions, and two emotions — into one beautiful harmony. “The word ‘colours’ symbolizes the diversity of human expression through sound. It’s not only about two countries, but about how art connects hearts beyond borders.”

The official press conference for the concert was held on September 10, 2025, at the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music (PGVIM), with a distinguished lineup of honorary guests including H.E. the Ambassador of Mongolia to Thailand, along with representatives from the Thai and Mongolian cultural communities. The event highlighted the shared commitment of both nations to promoting cultural exchange through the arts.

This year’s concert features an exceptional lineup of performers. From Thailand, Usa Asli Band will perform their signature fusion of traditional and modern Thai sounds. From Mongolia, the rising star Solongo, a yatga (Mongolian zither) instrumentalist, and the Agmat Band will bring contemporary Mongolian energy to the stage. Together, they will create a one-of-a-kind cross-cultural musical experience.

Adding an artistic dimension to the event, Michel and Amazonka, the legendary Olympic dress designers for Mongolia, have joined this special occasion. In collaboration with the organizer, they have created the “Ural Heritage Collection” — a series of premium souvenirs including hoodies, shirts, caps, and more. These exclusive items can be ordered online at www.2cofs.com/shop

Mr. Nattapong expressed his sincere appreciation for the great support from the Faculty of Engineering, KMITL, the Office of Contemporary Art, Ministry of Culture, Thailand, Bangkok Hospital, Advice IT (PCL), Event Thai Co., and the mega music online platform “Songtopia”, who have collaborated to organize this meaningful event on behalf of the Thai Cultural Council in Mongolia.

“All revenue after expenses will be donated to the KMITL Alumni Fund for charitable purposes,” he added. “This concert is not only about music — it’s about connection, compassion, and creating value for society.”

He concluded warmly, “Music has no borders. We invite everyone to join us and experience this once-in-a-lifetime performance — to feel the colours of sound together.”
