AIS partners with Singtel to expand cross-border mobile payments AIS GLOBAL Pay to Japan

AIS, the innovative network and digital service leader in the country, partners with SingTel Group, continues to promote access to ePayments via the "VIA" service, the first cross-border mobile payments network in Asia. Recently, the service expands to Japan, which is a country that Thais prefer to travel, support AIS customers who are using Rabbit LINE Pay via the AIS GLOBAL Pay app and Singaporean customers who are using the Singtel Dash electronic wallet be able to pay via QR Code with VIA symbol with the currency of your own country more convenient without fees, and empower customers to not worry about exchange rates or carrying cash while traveling.

The pilot service is now available at Haneda Airport and Narita Airport, together with NETSTARS, Merchant Acquirer partner from Japan to prepare to expand payment points to popular tourist and shopping destinations in Japan for Thais. AIS and SingTel are also preparing to expand the AIS GLOBAL Pay service to other countries that Thais prefer to travel soon.

At the same time, the company partners with financial institutions such as Kasikorn Bank and Siam Commercial Bank to allow customers to connect to Kasikorn Bank and Siam Commercial Bank for payment of goods and services via the AIS GLOBAL Pay app. This is regarded as a convenience and supports customers to access the AIS GLOBAL Pay service. From the past that customers had connected to Rabbit LINE Pay. And to extend the cooperation in pushing the cashless society concept without borders to strengthen the digital economy policy in Asia.
