MDEC Presents Next Wave of Malaysian Games at Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show

The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has concluded a successful participation at the inaugural Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show, held from October 16–18, marking a significant milestone for the Malaysian creative content industry in the Southeast Asian region.

For the first time ever, MDEC facilitated the presence of six talented Malaysian game companies in the highly popular Entertainment Zone (B2C). This initiative provided a direct platform for these creators to engage with the public, gather feedback, and demonstrate the quality and innovation inherent in Malaysian-made games and creative services.

The MDEC booth became a vibrant showcase of diverse talent, drawing attention to the unique offerings of the participating companies. The following Malaysian game studios and service providers were featured, presenting their thrilling games and top-tier outsourcing capabilities:

  • Ammobox Studios
  • Youniverse Games
  • Streamline Studios Malaysia
  • Kotakoren Games Studio
  • CtrlD Studio
  • Illusionist Animation Studio

The three-day presence in the Entertainment Zone (B2C) underscores MDEC's commitment to elevating Malaysian digital content on the international stage. By focusing on consumer-facing engagement, this showcase successfully highlighted the compelling stories and innovative game design originating from Malaysia, reinforcing the nation's position as a significant player in the global creative economy.

MDEC looks forward to seeing these creators continue to build on the momentum generated at Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show, fostering greater cross-border collaboration and reaching new audiences.
